Accessories: Wiring Harnesses

Most of Seetron's serial displays connect power, ground and serial input through a 5-pin male header (0.025" pins on 0.1" spacing). You can solder/wrap wires directly to the pins, or use crimp-on sockets (app note). For your convenience, we offer three standardized wiring harnesses that fit many common applications.

BSW-CBL: 5pin→Wires

• 5-pin female header connector 12" wires terminated in header pins
• Perfect for Basic Stamp, Arduino, etc. • Fits all Seetron displays except ILM and TRM.

PDX-CBL: 5pin→DE9 Female, Power Wires

• 5-pin female header connector • 12" wires terminated in pins for power • DE9 connector on 6" leads for RS-232 serial input • Connects display to run off PC's RS-232 port, external power source • Fits all Seetron displays except ILM and TRM.

PDI-CBL: 5pin→DE9 Female, HDD Power Connector

• 5-pin female header connector • 24" wires terminated in hard-drive power connector • DE9 connector on 36" lead for RS-232 serial input • Connects display to run off PC's RS-232 port, external power source • Fits all Seetron displays except ILM and TRM.
